Education

Professional education for medical providers and facilities

Knowledge is nothing if not shared.

Copic recognizes the importance of ongoing professional education in healthcare and the value of having a partner who offers opportunities to stay informed on key issues. Our Patient Safety & Risk Management team oversees an array of activities—on-demand courses, in-person conferences, and virtual seminars—that focus on risk prevention and improving patient safety.

Education

In-Person and Virtual Seminars

Learning from experience is critical to improving patient safety. So our team of physicians, nurses, attorneys, and other experts share their knowledge frequently, through seminars. Other seminars focus on key issues, like communication, documentation, and legal risks. Real-world learnings (from de-identified closed claims) provide context and actionable steps. Seminars can be customizable for your organization. View a list of our Preferred Educational Seminars or our Education Catalog for a full list.

On-Demand Courses

Knowing that your schedule is challenging, we’re pleased to provide access to a growing number of on-demand courses. Most courses are CME accredited. Topics include:

  • Real-world case studies addressing common challenges
  • Working safely with APNs and PAs
  • Medication errors in the digital age
  • Optimal communication techniques
  • Current and emerging risks in key medical specialties

Participation in seminars and courses is worth your time—and more. Eligible insured physicians and advanced practice providers can receive Copic points, which may qualify you for a premium discount.

In-Person Conferences

We like to see you. And we believe there’s great value in learning, collaborating, and networking in person. Copic hosts conferences addressing key topics in safety and risk management featuring nationally-recognized speakers. When you have Copic, there’s no registration fees to attend. You’ll gain relevant knowledge and have a chance to share best practices with your peers. Please contact Stephanie Heronema at [email protected] or 720.858.6129 with any questions.
